I didn't like the phone holders with the suction cups since more times than not, they eventually fall off the glass or dashboard. Just wanted something that would hold my phone in both portrait and landscape orientation and wouldn't jiggle loose or fall off while I'm driving.This particular holder works very well, secures the phone well by means of collapsing/tightening arms (spring loaded I believe), and hasn't fallen out of the vent yet (Iphone 13 Pro Max with Case). Basically, you just set your phone and then squeeze the arms together (you'll hear/feel the clicks as it tightens). To release the arms and free the phone, there's a little quick-release button on the back side and the arms retract instantly.I've been very happy with the sturdiness of the holder because it's lightweight plastic and I thought I might have issues in the cold with it cracking. But I've had it for a while now and it's held up.When your phone is in the holder, be aware that you will block the vent air flow, but in the summertime, this is actually a benefit to keep the phone cool while using it, since the vent blows right on the back of the phone.Installation is super easy, just hook it in and tighten the nut and you're good to go. The instructions are clear and no tools are needed.Any phone holder of this level is going to have some vibration issues if you drive on bumpy or uneven surfaces. I barely notice when on paved roads and even at higher speeds. My car does shake a bit (it's older) when I reach higher speeds, but I've been very satisfied with the lack of vibration.As mentioned above, due to the design of this, it's quite versatile and you can swap from portrait to landscape orientation with the flick of a wrist by rotating it 90 degrees.Definitely worth the money and performs much better than others in the same price class that I've used in the past. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a simple solution to holding their phones in the car.

Works exactly as described. I use an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I have the thick OtterBox case. This phone holder not only secures to the vents in my dash securely, but also is it capable of holding my phone even when driving over bumpy roads. The notch at the bottom has ample room for me to plug in my charger without having to think about it. When they say one hand operation, they mean it. The clamps open up on both sides with the push of a single button I can easily push while holding my phone with the same hand. After placing the phone in the holder squeeze clamps till the phone is snug. You will hear clicks along the way and the only way to get those clamps to release is to hit that button. I would highly recommend. If it can hold my brick of a phone it can undoubtedly hold yours.

Cheap enough. Does its job, button mechanism on back to loosen the grip wings still works after about a year of if use. My only complaint is it can get a little wobbly at times in the air vent requiring a need for tightening and adjusting. Other than that, for the money, it’s solid and does it job.

For only $20 (and I got it on sale for $13), this is an incredible product!! I’ve been using it for about a week now. It is very sturdy compared to other phone holders I’ve tried for my car. It doesn’t wiggle at all with a heavy phone on it!It has 2 little hooks on the end. You twist a little piece in the middle and that moves the hooks in and out to make it really tight on the car vent. Then it has a very tight ball and socket which is what allows you to move the holder to a good location for seeing while driving. I live where there are a lot of potholes, bumps, and curves on the roads, and it has never moved! You do have to put that ball and socket joint together when you receive the product, but it’s really easy. I didn’t even have to look at the instructions.I would 100% recommend this product!!

It’s perfect. Instead of having a rubber slit that slides into the vent, it tightens with a retractable hook so it’s very sturdy and will stay attached even on a bumpy road. I like that it’s not a suction cup so there’s no risk of it melting on your windshield if it gets hot.It has a ball-and-socket for adjusting the angle of the phone, not sure if it will eventually wear out but it seems very secure and able to support a heavy phone.The adjustable clamp is secure and is able to handle a wide range of phone sizes. It’s even cushioned so it won’t be rattling around when driving.Finally (admittedly not important), I like how it feels to tighten and release the phone. It’s just smooth and satisfying. You don’t need to look anywhere else for a phone holder.

Fits very well on my Honda civic vents. Easy to set up right out of the box. I have a pre CarPlay Honda and needed easy access to view maps on my phone as I also happen to be directionally challenged and need directions just about everywhere I go. Also the quick release button in the back makes it such a breeze to put your phone on the mount and take it out! Would 100% recommend! I also live somewhere with very hot summers so setting my phone in a cupholder often makes my phone overheat and it killed the battery on my last phone. Hoping this helps with that. Will update if anything comes up.

Over the years, I have purchased and tried no less than 6 different phone mounts and this is by far the best vent mount I have found. Because of its hook mount design, there is no way it will come loose if properly installed. It can also be adjusted vertically as well as horizontally. I still use a dashboard mount during cooler months as it is mounted higher at eye level but can not use it during hotter months because my phone is subjected to overheating. This mount allows your air-conditioning to keep your phone cooler. You won't be disappointed.
