Excellent for Vinyl Floor Planks and MAJOR Time Saver
I rented a Roberts Professional Laminate cutter from Home Depot and also ordered this product from Amazon because I wasn't confident the EAB Tool would actually work. I tested both of them and then immediately returned the Roberts rental tool because the EAB Tool was as good as the rental tool at cutting vinyl plank and actually easier for me to maneuver around the work space, since it's far lighter. The tool was super easy to set up and use. The cuts were crisp and easy to make. I highly recommend a light directed onto the blade cutting area that does not cast shadows on top of the tool so that you can easily see where the blade is contacting the plank for the cut. I didn't use the ruler on the end of the tool to make straight cuts but rather measured the boards each time as needed and made a simple pencil mark on the plank and lined it up under the blade. I had to measure the length for the end boards on the floor anyway to make the proper cuts as I finished a row, so I wasn't wasting any time by omitting the use of the tool's ruler. This tool is a consumer tool, not a pro tool, so you should not expected it to do large volumes of cuts. Plus, I don't think the blade is replaceable, like some brands, although it does come with a sharpener stone, which I didn't even need during a 300 sq. ft. basement job.For those of you having the thicker wood-based planks, I don't think this tool will meet your needs due to the additional force needed to cut such boards. Vinyl planks cut like butter with this tool, but I am certain it would be frustrating to cut those thicker wood boards, even if you added a pipe on the end of the handle to gain more leverage. The platform is plastic and is very light weight, unlike a pro tool like the Roberts tool, and I doubt it be sturdy enough to sustain the forces needed on those thicker boards. But for vinyl planking, this tool is excellent.

Good tool for the DIY weekend benefit
Product came as described and on time. Comes in a box where you have to attach the handle and the cutter assembly. It went together very easily. Per others I tested it on same waste material. I first tried it on wood laminate and it worked fairly quick and easy. The cuts were clean but had a bit of an inward cut at an 88% and not a true 90 degrees. It would not effect the flooring assembly that I could see. I then tried it on vinyl stick planks and it was just great. My first project for the weekend was a 200 square foot kitchen remodel. I was using vinyl plank stick flooring and the cutter just made a huge difference. I got 80% of the kitchen done without any seams or gaps in about 3 hours including a lot of molding cuts (saker tool works great here for the cuts). Blade was sharp beginning to end. I do advise that you a) hold your material very tightly to the cutting board b) make sure the 90 degree guide is tight c) slowly lower the cutting handle (don't just fast handle it). That seems to work best.

Excellent Product With One Small Exception
For years I have used a chopsaw, a handheld saw, and a multitool when completing my flooring projects. Although these methods got the job done, it was always difficult to achieve tight fits due to the inconsistency that comes from a saw blade. What has me so impressed about this tool is that I was able to complete nearly 600 ft.² of engineered vinyl flooring in less than half the time it would have taken me using previous methods. Additionally, the cuts remained crisp and only began to deteriorate towards the end of the project but that’s why they provide a sharpening stone. My only complaint about the product is the angle gauge which is supposed to help you make it 0° to 45° cuts. This gauge appears to be more of an afterthought rather than an actual option that was intended to benefit the user. For this reason, I had to spend more time than necessary lining up the blade with my measurement.Outside of that, this is a great product and I am looking forward to using it when I install new hardie plank siding on my home this summer. The reduced amount of dust and debris makes it all worth it!

Crush-master
The tool comes with a bonus puller, tapping block, and spacers. The tapping block is not notched properly, I think, to be able to keep it flat on the floor and not crush the tongue of the boards, it is made of a semi-soft plastic that I bet after a few jobs will crack or be useless. The puller is probably the only useful thing of the whole purchase. I rarely use spacers for a job (they may have been useful) so I can't comment for that part. On to the crush master that I purchased. So I take it out of the box and put it together in like 5 minutes. Looks really nice and a solid tool. The blade is probably sharp enough to take off a finger. I saw lots of good reviews, so I figured I would give it a go. First time I use it on a laminate board, it mashes the hell out of it. I figured I did something wrong? Nope, I tried it several more times, with the same result, crunch. Useless tool, might as well just angle it on a 2x4 and stomp on it. Is it true no dust? Yes, it is true but instead, are chunks of little pieces as seen in the picture. It also takes quite the effort to use the lever to cut. I imagine it will be very tiring for a bigger job. I attached a few pictures of the "fine" cuts. I bought this too far in advance of the job I was going to do, so when I finally started using it, it was past the return date. Luckily I had a chat with Amazon and they were very easy going and started a return for me. Thank you Amazon for your service; so 5 stars for Amazon return department, 1 star for this product.
