The installation was flawless, very quick setup, I plugged up all cameras before installing them in their final locations around our home. I installed the NVR in a good and secure location that was as high as possible. I plugged NVR into a Power surge protector strip and connected it to a monitor with a HDMI cable for view on setup.Setup via on screen prompts was very quick and simple. All, of the cameras were paired up with the NVR very quickly, within about one two minutes, this was done automatically without any input from me and without any hook up to the NVR.The cameras come with built-in speakers in the camera so you can hear one-way what is going on outside.The infer-red in the camera for night viewing is incredibly good and covers the viewing area very well.I am incredibly pleased with this system!

Great product for a low budget system. Easy to setup and operate

it works great.one thing wrong with it...i didnt want a hard drive..non hooked up..but on the screen of the monitor its show a message saying...no storage for recording..which is fine but the message wont go away. so it takes up about 40 percent of the screen...i dont want to see the message..cant find a way to delete...bad bad bad

I would have given 5 stars but an extra, unnecessary, and unsightly hardwired cord is attached to each camera cord which wasn’t shown on the product images. Also, the camera power cords could be longer.Aside from that, setup was relatively easy but a little technical know how does help. Video are very clear in both day and night. With 24/7 recordings, I’m getting about 40 days of history for each of 4 cameras. If you use motion detection recordings then you can expect much more history. Lots of camera options. Uses the XMEyePro app for your phone.After you get everything up and running, I recommend you update the firmware for the base unit and for each camera.

I had watched this kit for a while and grabbed it when the price dropped below $100. Installing a HD was easy. The camera images are clear with good range and minimal lag. My main complaint is the enclosed documentation is minimal and not very helpful. There is a lot of on screen options but they are not easy to use or understand. I have tried the cellphone app and it is not better. A key point is that the cameras have very bright lights that I believe are activated by the motion sensor but I can't find a way to disable them other than black electrical tape. UPDATE: After contacting the company I was told where in the configuration system to control the lights and turn them off. Also, the cord length of the camera power supplies are shorter than most others I have seen. UPDATE: I purchased two additional cameras and they have different power unit but still with a short cord.

First, if Apple will not let you install the app, there’s an issue.Second, I never received the code and I couldn’t use the send code to phone because the site kept telling me it was not the correct format (as I recall). Even if I wanted to add a dash between parts of phone number, the other phone was an android and I had no other option.Third, trying to get code by email was fruitless as well.Fourth, I ordered the system with a hard drive but I couldn’t see any option for playback. Perhaps because, apparently, I couldn’t finish setup without the damn code.
