UCO Flatpack Nesting Grill Tools

Having used quite a few cheap camp utensil sets sold here, I can confidently say that if Uco is making more in this line up, I’ll purchase the rest of the set. There are a few small caveats but these utensils are worth the cost if you car camp and cook. I feel confident that these tools will work for any steak or burgers I cook with these tools.Pros:* Obviously the main pro is that the tongs nest into the handle of the spatula.* The tongs and spatula are light weight however they still feel very sturdy. I won’t back pack with these but for sure will use as part of my car camp kitchen. The total weight for both items is 485 grams or 17.11 oz. The spatula is 259 grams or 9.125 oz. The tongs are 225 grams or 7.94 oz.* Full sized spatula at 16 inches long and 3.5 inches in width at the flipper end.* Full sized tongs at 16 inches long and 6 1/4” fully open.Cons:* There’s a little bit of wiggle in the tongs which always has me concerned about tongs. I’ll keep an eye on it though. I don’t think it will be an issue, but will update my review if the wiggle gets worse.* I tried to stress test the tongues and spatula to see how well they hold together. With enough force, I was able to get the tongs to drop out of the handle of the spatula however, it did take quite a bit of effort. I will update my review if it fails to hold together over extended use.

These nesting grill tongs and spatula are ok. They are not the nicest I have used but they still work well. I think the spatula is fine for a gas grill but would be too short for me to use on a charcoal grill. The tongs work fine but the end of the tongs, the part that picks up food, is much smaller than any other kind of tongs I have. The nesting aspect is useful when using on the road.

I like this concept a lot, a nesting spatula and tong set, with the tongs stored inside the the spatula's handle. The fit, feel and finish of these grill tools are nice, they feel solid in the hands and have minimal flex while using. I thought for sure the spatula handle would be the weak spot of the set, being hollow and plastic. It still might be but I do like the feel of it in hand. The spatula handle might be too big for small hands though. The set is big, probably a little much for most camp stoves but it will get the job done. For the small to medium home grill, I think they're great.

This a good looking set of BBQ tools for your next cookout. They seem really well made.The tongs lock and then nest inside the handle of the spatula. Tongs are better for your cookout than a fork as they don't make holes in the meat which can dry it out. The plastic handle is made form recycled plastic according to the product page, but this is a minor thing as it is just a small and thin piece of plastic. Comfortable and good looking though.They worked great for me and I'm very happy, just be aware that in order to use their 3rd feature, the bottle opener, the tongs have to be pulled out first. It won't work with them in the handle. Minor detail.All in all a well made and very useful tool.

I’ve always liked Uco products, finding them to be well made, well designed and an excellent value. The great design continues here with how nicely the two pieces nest together, with the tongs sliding into the hollow handle of the spatula with a satisfying click. Both utensils feel quite nice to use; the spatula in particular feels very solid being thicker metal and there’s zero play in the tongs with the locking mechanism working well holding them shut. They’re a bit on the heavier side which was surprising and larger than I expected them to be but they’re still portable with how they nest together and make for an excellent addition to my camp kit.

These worked exactly as expected and are easy to store! The handles are long so that you don't get burned by the heat of the grill.
