No More Yellow vs. White Brite
I have used both this No More Yellow and a similar product called White Brite WB30N Laundry Whitener-1 Pound 12 Ounces-Laundry Additive and Booster (Formerly Known as Yellow Out) Designed to Brighten Whites and Remove Yellowing and Dinginess . Since I have experience with both I thought it my helpful to compare the two here.PriceThe White Brite (WB) shown at the link above ships free with Amazon Prime, and that brings its price to .43/oz at the time of this review. This No More Yellow (NMY) does not including free shipping and with the shipping price included ends up being .93/oz at the time of this review.UsesThe label on NMY indicates it is effective for rust stains, hard water build up and minor dye stains The label on WB indicates it is effective for dingy whites caused by rust stains, yellowing, red clay and red dirt, color bleeds and iron-fortified baby formula stains.IngredientsNeither product bottle provides a full list of ingredients but both include irritant warnings. NMY indicates it contains Sodium Hydrosulfite and WB lists Sodium Metabisulfite, Sodium Hydrosulfite and Sodium Carbonate on its label. Both bottles warn that persons with respiratory problems should not use the product.SmellAs pointed out in other reviews, NMY has a strong sulfur smell and that's even more true of WB. The NMY smell isn't nearly as strong right out of the bottle as that of WB. The same is true of the two products while the wash is running. I leave the laundry area of the house altogether when washing with WB, but it's not intolerable with NMY. That may because NMY also includes detergent and the detergent scent softens the sulfur. It may also be that the WB includes additional sodium-based ingredients.DirectionsBoth recommend using 1/2 cup. The primary difference is that the NMY touts itself as a one-step solution with the detergent included in the product, while WB requires you add your own detergent. My washing machine is a standard top-loader, but if your machine is a high efficiency model this NMY might become a problem because it generates a great deal of suds. With just the recommended 1/2 cup of product, I saw the suds build up in my top loader to the point that they almost peaked the top of the agitator. Too many suds can cause some high efficiency machines to turn off mid-cycle. I don't know if this would be the case when using this product in a high-efficiency machine but it would definitely be something worth monitoring until you see how this product works with your machine.EffectivenessI have only used these products for the purpose of brightening dingy whites and can't speak to their effectiveness for the other uses they list. For brightening whites, both products seem to be effective and you might want to just go with whichever you can get for the best price. The WB bottle holds about 4 oz more than the NMY bottle. While I think WB is a good product, I now prefer NMY and the primary reason for this boils down to the smell. I went searching for laundry crystals to use with the WB because it smells so bad. I wouldn't characterize NMY as having a good smell, but it's not nearly as offensive as that of the WB and you could probably even wear a tee shirt laundered with NMY right out of the dryer. I rewash everything at least once afer using WB. WB, however, might be the better choice for use with high efficiency machines due to the high suds properties of the NMY. Plus, WB costs a lot less per ounce and that can also be an important consideration.Hope this is helpful.

No More Yellow
I had a favorite white cotton blouse which had been washed with some darker colors & was ruined. But then I spotted No More Yellow in a magazine & decided to send for it. It did the job beyond my wildest dreams and so I tried it on a lovely silk blouse which had become yellowed after having been dry-cleaned several times, and once again, I was absolutely thrilled & amazed -- my silk blouse has a new lease on life, and, very importantly, it does not affect the fabric one bit! Works beautifully on cotton work tee-shirts also. I would not be without my "No More Yellow"!!!

This stuff is unbelievable
we have well water and even with purex all my white clothes have a dingy look. I put all my white tee's in the washer with just a smallamount of water. Did leave them soak for a little while. When I turned on the machine to finish the cycle I couldn't believe how whitethey were. Even the washer was white as high as the water had gone. This really is the greatest product. Seems a little expensivebut I used just 1/4 cup in the water so at that rate not so costly.

Buying More!!!!
This really works well! It works the shirts I wear for running and even takes the dingy out of my dish towels without fading the colors on the white printed ones. I also tried it on my white Corian sinks. It cleaned what bleach couldn't touch! I'm getting ready to order more! I have used one Whink product for many.many years and this proves to me they make high quality products. I won't hesitate to try anything they make.
