So simple but so useful.
I stumbled onto this nifty little product and have been using it with my off camera flash equipment. The angle of the arm makes it so much easier to place the flash in the perfect angle while I'm shooting and I wonder why I never bought this great product sooner! Well made and very useful for off camera flash.

Sturdy!
Nice piece of equipment - a little pricey for what it is, but fills the need!

Well made and very useful
I shoot with Westcott gear. This mini boom arm is perfect for off setting a light just enough that it is out of your way without making a lot of fuss. Well made and strong.

Valuable for off camera lighting
I used to have the now discontinued Paul C Buff Baby Boomer arm. This is essentially the same thing. Make sure you sandbag the legs of the light stand prior to adding the light.

Westcott 8" offset works great
The media could not be loaded. Enables me to offset a light without having to pack a boom arm. One unexpected feature was the flat edge on the pin. This helps when you want to use the offset in a horizontal position instead of an upright position. The pin prevents a light and modifier from rotating out of position. See a demo in the video.I initially intended to use only a speedlight with the offset on some of my light weight stands. It worked so well that I then used a monolight. I would be very selective while using on a light weight stand. In one of the photos I uplinked you can see that the cheaper lightweight stand i used bends quite a bit. When I used it on my better quality light weight stand it had no problem handling the offset with a monolight and PLM umbrella attached. The lightweight stand that worked well with this set up was the Mathews B387486 reversible folding stand.https://amzn.to/4hNTEjy
