3.5 stars
*** 3.5 stars ***Before I start I would like to say that I appreciate that this author took on such a huge topic that many refuse to talk about. Hell most people don't even what to acknowledge that mental illness exist much less talk about it. As a suffer of mental illness I appreciate the author bringing this topic to some form of light. People can't see the symptoms of mental illness so therefore they don't believe it exists. An invisible illness. Thanks so much for broaching it.That being said I enjoyed this book. The reason for my four star rating is because I thought the word cu** was used far too much. I mean come on there are other words that can be used. I mean cu** is fine at times just not all the freaking time. It literally was the only word used. I think that Brendon and Kaylee could have been an explosive couple but there was just something lacking. Maybe because Kaylee was so naive and Brendon was a bit of a coward. He did everything he could to not be with Kaylee while she just kept hanging onto anything he gave her. I was so over him by the time they finally got together. Kaylee was a extremely young and untouched and just hopped into the whole BDSM thing like she had always been doing it. I was not expecting this book to be about BDSM in the bedroom. I don't normally prefer it - but Kaylee knew next to nothing and it wasn't really believable. As much as I am grateful to the author for bringing mental illness into the spotlight I feel that the way Kaylee's was approached and played out was a bit unrealistic. I literally live with mine everyday and it's just not the way the author described it. The side characters were good and added a lot to the story. However the book was slow to get going and even then it was still slow at times. I almost didn't finish it because it just kept going and going without much happening. This book was good but it had the potential to be so much more. Which is always disappointing. I liked it enough that I will eventually check out the other books in this series.

Contains BDSM!!!!
I had to put a star so I could write a review. This was my first Crystal Kaswell book, and I am sure she is a good writer (as far as grammar, structure and storyline are concerned the book was ok). However, why she didn’t feel the need to inform the buyer that her book contained BDSM is beyond me. I was so enthusiastic about buying this book, but I do not buy books that deal with serious kink. I was blindsided. Not Ok. I always read the full description and the look inside excerpt from the book. Not a single clue that this book contained BDSM could be found anywhere. Fans of her books probably already knew this, but for those of us who are new readers? That’s the kind of thing you inform the buyer.

If you don't like BDSM, give this book a pass!
I'm sorry. I can't get past 17% of this book. First of all, BDSM is a real turn-off for me. I have no desire to read about someone getting spanked or "punished" in any way. I think the author should have let it be known that this was a kink book. The girl, Kaylee, acted so immature and melodramatic and I got fed up pretty quickly with her depression issues. Do young people think that every day is supposed to be roses and sunshine? It's called LIFE, there are ups and downs and you just have to push through the bad time. I never could figure out what she had to be so depressed about? The writing didn't flow very well and the so-called banter was terrible. I had a hard time telling who was saying what and had to re-read sections to try and follow who was speaking. Couldn't stand this book.

Okay, but needs some light proofreading.
I liked Tempting better than Dangerous Kiss, which was included when I downloaded. Brendon and Kaylee had great chemistry, and each had to fight against themselves at times to make it work. I could relate to what Kaylee was grappling with, feeling broken and fighting depression. Dangerous Kiss was too repetitious for me. I had to force myself to finish the story. Ethan and Vi are okay characters, but they deserved to be miserable at times because they brought it on themselves.Overall, both stories need some light proofreading. It is annoying and interrupts the story. The first couple it's easy to overlook, but more than that is frustrating. Some examples: "chocking" when it should be choking, "titled" when it should be tilted, no punctuation at the end of a sentence, "You're got this, Vi" when it should be You've, and etc.

Boring
It took me a long time to finish this book. I felt bored alot of the time. There were alot of almost pointless conversations that got boring quickly. Also, the style of writing is weird to me. Alot of repetitive phrases and words. And I mean repetitive! It didnt flow to me like it should have. The plot was kinda boring and of course had to be drawn out to try to make readers think it's interesting. I felt like an adolescent wrote this book. Totally not worth the 4 bucks. There just isnt much to offer with this book. I expected alot more. It was a shallow read with not so interesting characters. The most interesting parts are the sex scenes, which still arent that great.

Dealing with what throws at you
This one is a little slow in the beginning. I didn’t like how Kaylees parents didn’t involve her in what was going on. Especially in the beginning when they were moving across the country. And throughout the book dealing with her grandmothers condition. She is definitely a very young and naive 18 year old but I feel like she should have been given the facts. I adore Brendon and how he tries his best to do the thing (at least what he thinks is the right thing). The friends are awesome and very supportive of them being together and not one bit shy of letting their feelings be known. Great beginning to this series.

Tattoos, Books, and some kinky bondage... What more can a girl ask for?
Rating: 😍😍😍😍😍Kaylee is a single child and is about to start her first year of university. Her parents have decide to move back to New Jersey from California to look after her grandmother who is sick and makes the decision that Kaylee won't be coming with them. She is now living with her best friend (Emma) and her brother (Brendon) in their house. Kaylee has had a thing for Brendon for quite some time even and now that she is 18 and no longer jail bait she hopes that maybe Brendon might see her as more then his sister's annoying, nerdy best friend. Only to find out that he does think about her and not just in a huh she's hot, wouldn't mind kissing her kind of way - nope - how about some tie me up, tie me down action!Brendon is a tattoo artist working at Inked Hearts. He has been looking after his little sister since his parents both died - leaving him as her should guardian. He has stepped up to ensure that Emma is taken care of. But he can't get Kaylee, his sister's best friend, out of his mind. She is his fantasy and he believes his unicorn - he can't give in to his urges, he's 26 to Kaylee's 18 and now that she is living in his house and he's promised her parents to take care of her - but god does she drive him crazy. And when he finds out she has invaded his privacy and seen the pictures in his sketch book of her... well the rules are changing.Kaylee and Brendon catch on fire with her passion. But there is a few secrets that need to be shared for them to be together and to work on their happily ever after. Man those secrets are juicy - some of their own making and some that need trust to share (in each other and in themselves). So can Kaylee and Brendon work through it all and come out the other side?Crystal Kaswell is a word smith and she isn't afraid to explore the darkness that mental health can bring. I laughed, I cried, I definitely was rooting for Kaylee and Brendon the whole way - and man did I feel for Kaylee. This book's plot was a hard one for her and if she was real I'd hug the crap out of her. Awesome read - great plot, steamy scenes, and a world that intertwines with some of Crystal's other Series'. Loved it!

I loved this book of forbidden love.I'm in love with my best friends brother but I don't think he knows.Kaylee has always had a thing for Brendon but does he feel the same? When she finds out he does she can't stop thinking about it but will he make a move.I loved their chemistry but he doesn't think he is good enough for her.Secrets are revealed, feelings are hurt but will they be together.I loved reading this book & would definitely recommend it.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Steaming hot!!
Wow, this story was so hot. Loved the storyline and the characters. A lot too much of the filthy words, which was a shame as it reduced the romance in this story to just sordid sex. But I loved it anyway 😜
