Easy, thick and beautiful! Definitely recommend smoothing tool kit!!
We are renovating our rent trailer and while the counter tops weren’t in bad condition, they looked horrible when we painted the cabinets and redid the floors. So we started looking at countertop options that wouldn’t break the bank or require us to saw off the countertops (they’re made not to fall off so it would be a rough demo and probably make us rebuild some cabinetry which sounds like death). I found someone did something like unto this! They got vinyl/contact paper with a fun design and stuck it on and it looked great! Some tips with working with this product:Start in the further most corner, and peel the paper back as you go. If you precut there is a grid patterned on the back paper that helps with straight lines, but don’t peel until you have a set corner and you know your edges are straight!Make sure you have some kind of smoothing tool and an exactoknife or razor blade. Something sharp and precise to cut perfect corners and lines -it’s easy to cut, but if your tool isn’t sharp it won’t cut cleanly. I got a “smoothing tool set” here on Amazon that was about $6-$8 and it came with an exactoknife that worked beautifully! It also came with two smoothing tools: a large red one and a small blue one with a softer, fuzzy edge (great for smoothing wrinkles without ripping). It’s best to have two people, one to set the corner and then begin smoothing with the tool, and the other to hold the opposite end straight and peel back the paper as you go. The paper did rip easily so every now and again if we didn’t start with a clean peel it would rip and we would wonder why it wasn’t sticking 😂 so make sure you listen for ripping paper sounds! This paper is thick, waterproof (I cleaned it with a multi-purpose spray and it worked beautifully!), and beautiful! The patterned is a gold veined marble and it’s gorgeous! (See pictures)Also, you don’t have to get a smoothing tool set, but it was so much simpler with one! If you have anything that works like a smoothing tool, maybe a ruler or anything with a flat edge that won’t cut, it just prevents those bubbles and helps it lay flat.I have not tried putting this on a wall, I did it for countertops but I imagine putting it on a wall so long as it is smooth, would be fairly easy. Just line up the edges and corners.Highly recommend for any project and/or upgrade! 🥰

Awesome for DIY
I haven’t been an active nail tech since 2015, so, I didn’t want to spend $1000+ on a desk like I have in the past. I found a used nail desk on FB market place that already had a dust collector installed for cheap. But the desk needed a major DIY done on it.Almost ended up going for a teal and blue theme, but ended up with white, pinks, and golds. The desk was a looooong process. If you want an in-depth review keep reading or click away if you are happy just seeing the stars/pictures.Primed everything for 24 HRS. Had to sand everything...FYI matte black primer will adhere and to glitter paints way better than white. White primer was a struggle until we used black on the shelves. Wish we had used the black for everything. Painted the legs, vent, crystal knob bases, and shelves in glitter gold. This took 3-4 days of doing a coat, then letting it dry for 24 hrs. I’ve learned having 3 cans for glitter spray to act as the base for everything before using the same glitter in PAINT was the easiest. The vent and knob bases would only go thin/even with the spray. Stuff like the legs/metal part and shelves of desk needed the base sprayed before glitter paint would sit on it. Took only one coat then 24hrs to dry each time. So about 5 days in total just for the glitter. Ended in clear glossy sealant spray that took 2 more days (24hrs per coat).LASTLY THE DESK TOP! Ordered this contact paper based on price and good reviews. The exact same one is on Aliexpress but the cost was the same and it would arrive faster from Amazon. I almost got a pink marble or blue/teal marble print; if that had been my theme if I ended up with the blue electric nail file it would have been. So, I ordered the white marble print that had more gold in it. Might convert everything to blue one day as the legs can be done in glitter teal/blue.Go in with a plan before laying your paper!!!! I measured my desk before ordering as I did not want there being a line in the design if it couldn’t cover the top at least. The sides of the desk I would’ve been OK with making new strips. Certain designs will look ok if you piece together where it can be seen, but marble won’t in my opinion for a nail desk. One review I saw hid it well with a gold strip on their desk. I was lucky my desk is on the smaller side that it was wide enough and long enough to cover the entire top. In the future I plan to upgrade my desk with real marble top custom fit to a larger desk and glass piece to cover it.Before laying contact paper we sanded top/sides smooth and left slightly gritty so the paper would adhere well but not look lumpy. Left extra paper out on the sides to cover the sides and hole where the dust vent was. You will need your contact paper, scissors, fresh box cutter, and a card and a tool for getting it flat to help get bubbles out. Getting the bubbles out wasn’t bad at all since this is thicker/quality paper. It went best unsticking half the paper from the backing vs tiny parts at a time. There was 1-2 tiny bubbles that were impossible to get out. So we made sure they hid in spots we wouldn’t hear them pop under marble sections not where it was just white. Can’t see them at all and I knew the desk wouldn’t be perfect as I’m no DIY queen lol.Make sure for the corners you can cut a slit in the corner so the sides fold under each other and can’t be seen. I thought that out before executing my bf did not on his side so I ended up having to unfold his sides and re-do them so they hid. The corners, vent hole and where the lamp was installed was the most challenging. I thought cutting a small X in the center of the hole for vent would work to just fold the sticker paper in. IT DID NOT! Had to cut a circle right out which scared me because you can almost see the black desk underneath but the vent just barely hides it. So I will be sticking smaller pieces to line the inside of the circle and dotting bits of white paint in.The lamp base I told my bf to kinda cover then slice with box cutter for more even cut to desk. Then un peel excess off the base. He did not do that so I inserted a photo so you can see what happened lol. He tried marking it out with scissors. So I had to do a patch job lining up the print best I can so it camouflaged it in. Photo won’t insert so just use imagination sorry but you can see it got hidden. Overall ended up looking very nice. I plan to order more in case it needs to be changed in the future. Will be using arm rests, clean spa towels, dental bibs and paper towels while doing services to protect the contact paper. Gold star if you read this far! I am switching to a white light to match the black one came installed.

Great size, nice pattern looks great!
Really good! got the biggest size which is the width of the table and the length of 3 meters was plenty. Only thing i wish is a learned how to do the corners nicer so its not sharp, but thats a me thing not the products problem! Also the adhesive is really good, so while i could pull it off a bit to readjust - it did take a bit of paint off with it as well...
