Q: Hi, the box arrived yesterday, it looks fantastic however i have hit upon a snag, I cant get the pass through to work on the sound?

I have the same issue on spdif connection no matter what settings I choose it will not pass the sound to the speakers in the right format for them to decode it to DD, usually it should be PCM and the sound system decodes it to DD but with this box it only change it to 5.1 which is not ideal.

No, you just need a tv with a HDMI in, most TVs from manufacture in the last 10-15 years has this.
