Aquarian Drumheads Drumhead Pack (PFPD16)

I’ve gone on and off using Aquarian heads for my toms depending on what style of music I’m playing. These work great for metal/hard rock. They have a very nice tone and if you tune them low, these will keep up. They definitely handle a pounding as well. Available with or without the power dot. I like the power dot because it muffles your drum perfectly without the need of a huge chunk of moon gels if you use them. Worth the wait if you need to wait to get these heads.

If you're looking for a huge powerful caveman sludge doom sound from your toms these are a good choice. I have these on my kit which gets beat on several times a week playing heavy music, over a year now, no need for replacement yet. I may not be the best drum critic, but for my uses I have no complaints. We play softer sometimes and these are very responsive in terms of volume/touch. The muffling ring helps reduce unwanted overtones (I haven't had to add any dampening) and the dots have taken beating w/o any deterioration or denting. These don't have the classic sound of a coated head, these are for powerful tones.

Head is being used as a batter head on a cocktail kit as a 16" bass drum. Head works and sounds great.
